Derek Lowe, an Arkansan by birth, got his BA from Hendrix College and his PhD in organic chemistry from Duke before spending time in Germany on a Humboldt Fellowship on his post-doc. He's worked for several major pharmaceutical companies since 1989 on drug discovery projects against schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, osteoporosis and other diseases. Comments (And Everything Else) Are Back

Things are running around here again, after some problems with the comment system. Unfortunately, it looks like everything from about Monday mid-day disappeared into the Great Bit Bucket. That's unfortunate, since I know that there must have been some good stories in that "Weirdest Presentation" post - if anyone has the energy to add them again, there would be an audience for them!

Try looking to see if google (or another) has saved a cached copy of the page as that may have some of the comments on it (put the url in to google and then click on the arrows and select cached copy, then you can save a copy and copy & paste any recovered items).

When I accidentally deleted a page from my blog I was able to get it back using the cached copy.
