So I have a number of people trying to set me straight about Twitter. . .well, I'll see what I can do. For some time I've had it set up just to take 140 characters off the top of each post I do here, to serve as a sort of "I've posted something" alert, and that'll continue. I hardly follow anyone there, true. . .and many of them are non-chemical sources (Iranian politics and the like). What I probably need to do is set up more than one Twitter account, with one reserved for blogging and science. But even then, I don't see how I'll have time to look at it during the day, so people who fire messages back to me via Twitter are still going to come away disappointed.

Despite the hype... and despite being an avid Twitter user myself... I really don't think Twitter is for everyone. Don't feel bad if it turns out not to work well for you.
Have you considered doing a podcast for the 365 Days of Astronomy now that they've been extended into 2010?
There must be oodles of ways to mix chemistry and space depending on interest and expertise (space medicine - are there any attempts to make drugs that'll help with the decalcification of astronauts' bones - something used for osteoporosis? - and so on and so forth).
I'm being selfish, since there are only so many times I can wish to hear about Pluto's classification and the age of the Universe.
The Universe is 6000 years old. Pluto is a celestial orb attached to a perfect crystalline sphere, circling the Earth a hundred miles above us. All else you hear is lies.

Twitter, an Eastern View:
Twitter is just Words
It's the Haiku of the Net
Information? No.
Actually, it doesn't even rank as Haiku. It's just a noisy use of bandwidth.
